Pranic Healing Studies in the Laboratory. Effect of Pranic Healing in the Survival of Infected Galleria Mellonella

Presenter: Luciana Lobo – Rio de Janiero, Brazil

Objective:  To study the effect of Pranic Healing in the survival of Galleria mellonella after infection with a virulent Cryptococcus neoformans strain.

Study Design:  30 Galleria mellonella caterpillars were classified into 3 groups (1) Control group of healthy animals n =10, Infected with Cryptococcus neoformans without Pranic Healing treatment group n = 10, Infected with Cryptococcus neoformans with Pranic Healing treatment group n = 10.

Results:  The Kaplan-Meier curves were plotted and statistical analysis was performed using the estimates of survival data to evaluate differing survival times (times-to-event).  Experiment showed that caterpillars treated with Pranic Healing presented a survival pattern statistically different ( p< 0.03) than infected group without treatment.  On Day 13, 100% of control group survived, 50% of  Pranic Healing group survived and 100% of none treatment were dead.

Conclusion:  Laboratory and in vitro study showing application of Pranic Healing improves the survival of Galleria mellonella after infection with a virulent Cryptococcus neoformans strain.

These are preliminary results and more studies are needed to assess current outcome indicators.
