PHRI Announces New Scientific Advisory Board

The Pranic Healing Research Institute (PHRI) is pleased to announce new members to its Scientific Advisory Board (SAB). The Board includes researchers, scientist and practitioners who will provide scientific and strategic direction on PHRI’s research programs, priorities and investments.

"These thought-leaders bring tremendous understanding of bench research, as well as extensive experience in applied science and clinical practice. We look forward to their contributions as PHRI enters a new stage in building a dynamic, interactive and global community of researchers to advance Pranic Healing.”

The expert members of PHRI’s SAB are:

Helen Salisbury, PhD is an Assistant Professor, Researcher, and Institutional Review Board member at A. T. Still University of Health Sciences where she teaches applied research. Dr. Salisbury previously served on the research faculty for an online university.

Hala Azzam, PhD, MPH, CPLP, CPH is a scientist with 17 years of laboratory research and a public health professional with more than 18 years’ experience in cancer research training programs, international health, and program evaluation.

Jason Calva, PhD is a licensed acupuncturist who received his PhD from Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tianjin, China. His doctoral thesis was about the integration of Pranic Healing with acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Krupa Sivamurthy MD, DNB, is a Pediatric Hematologist- Oncologist currently focused on new drug development. She oversees design of clinical trials, publications, scientific communications as well as serving as the medical representative for regulatory interactions.

Maria Elena Garcia-Terra is a licensed psychologist who builds bridges between the academic world and Pranic Healing in Uruguay and is on the Association of Comprehensive Energy Psychology Research Committee.  

Sandra Amado, MD is a family medicine and integrative physician in Houston, TX with focus on Hispanic and underserved communities. She recently graduated from the prestigious Academy of Integrative Health Medicine fellowship program.

Valerie Davis, M.D. is a physician with a private practice in medical and surgical dermatology in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. She has integrated Pranic Healing into daily use on patients in the medical practice. 

Valerie Fouriner, PhD is a researcher and professor of entomology at Université Laval in Canada. As an expert in bee protection and the biological control of agricultural pests, she has published some 34 peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals.

The caliber of the SAB members speaks to PHRI’s commitment to its’ mission of advancing Pranic Healing utilizing evidence-based research through leadership, collaboration and innovation.
